Editorial Policy

How we decide what to publish, how we check it, and how we put things right when we get them wrong.

Last updated: 9 October 2026

What we are for

We publish practical, honest writing about personal growth and intentional living. We want readers to finish an article with something useful to try, not a vague feeling of inspiration. We are not a coaching, therapy or medical service.

Our principles

  • Practical first. Every article should leave you with something you can do.
  • Evidence-aware. We do not claim more than the evidence supports, and we say when something is an opinion or a rule of thumb.
  • No miracle claims. We do not promise transformations, cures or quick fixes.
  • Respect for readers. We write for capable adults and avoid shaming language.
  • Independence. Commercial relationships never decide what we say.

Accuracy and sourcing

Claims that rely on research, statistics, quotations or official guidance should be traced to a reliable source before publication. We prefer primary sources, such as published studies and public bodies, to second-hand summaries. Where evidence is mixed or limited, we say so.

Sensitive subjects

For topics touching mental health, relationships, money and work, we avoid diagnosis and personalised advice, follow safe-messaging principles, and signpost to UK services where relevant. We do not publish content that encourages self-harm, disordered eating or dangerous behaviour. See the Disclaimer.

Stories and contributors

Stories on the site are fictionalised editorial scenarios inspired by common real-life experiences. They are written to illustrate ordinary choices, setbacks and repairs without presenting private people as case studies.

Review and updates

Articles carry a "last reviewed" date. We review articles regularly and update or remove content that is out of date.

Corrections

If you spot an error, tell us at [email protected] or via the contact page. We will correct factual errors promptly and note significant corrections on the article.

Advertising, sponsorship and affiliate links

At present, the site does not run sponsored articles, display advertising or affiliate links. If any commercial relationships are introduced, they will be clearly labelled and commercial partners will not review or approve editorial conclusions.

Use of AI tools

Editorial tools, including AI-assisted tools, may be used to support drafting, structure, proofreading or formatting. Published material should still be reviewed by a person for accuracy, tone, safety and usefulness before it appears on the site.
